The winter assortment of the NSW pinnacle collection continues to set the standard for Nike’s focus on innovation and the inspiration for the Winter 08 NSW line is athletic performance in any weather condition. Much of the outerwear has been redesigned to withstand dumping rain or snow, harsh winds and frigid air temperatures. Innovations such as impermeable no-sew seams, breathable/waterproof fabrics, Storm-FIT fabrics, waterproof zippers, water-repellant softshell fabrics, no-sew storm flaps and laser-cut cuff adjustability keeps cold out and warmth in, never sacrificing style in the process.
The partnership between Nike Sportswear and Japanese fleece specialists Loopwheeler will produce a new range of apparel for Nike. The NSW collection mixes authentic sports colors with seasonal hues, including purple (Mulberry), dark green (Dark Loden), turquoise (Cayman), beige (Reed) and Nike’s Comet Red. Also new to the NSW/Loopwheeler line is navy blue (Obsidian).

Nike AW77
A staple training top, Athletics West hoodies were thick and durable, built to withstand the rigors of hard workouts and hard washing. An extended zip was added specifically for runners who wanted the ability to quickly shed the bulky layer during a run.
The Nike Windrunner
First designed by Geoff Hollister, the Windrunner jacket made its debut at the 1980 US Track and Field Trials in Eugene, OR. In 1982, Nike apparel catalog re-named it the Windrunner and the distinctive two-tone top was an instant favorite. The new Nike Windrunner fleece comes in two colors, Grey Heather and Dark Loden/Mulberry, and is equipped with side zip pockets, center front zip, ribs, hood and the unmistakable 26-degree chevron – but redone in a completely unique sportswear material.
The Winter 08 Nike NSW Collection will be available October 24 at 21 Mercer in New York and Nike Sportswear at the Montalbán in Los Angeles.
