Tom Findlay and Andy Cato return with their 5th studio album. Their first new offering since ‘03s Lovebox, the 15-track set is a buoyant homage to the past 20 years in music, featuring a cast of guest contributors like Candi Staton, Tony Allen, Simon Lord (Simian Mobile Disco), Alan Donohoe (The Rakes), Ryhmefest and MCs Stoosh and Bedrock.

Throughout, the boys display their vast range, blasting through an often exhausting barrage of styles, from soulful ‘80s dance pop, “Madchester” rave and dirty electro house to ragga, dub, rock and downtempo. Not surprisingly, there are a few detours into mind-numbing tedium (like the glow-stick disaster “Lightsonic” and “Song 4 Mutya.”) However, cuts like the grimy floor-filler “Get Down,” chunky electro groove “Drop That Thing,” the introspective “Paris” and the E-induced “See What You Get” save the day, making the album a satisfying summer jump-off expertly tuned for the masses.
