New Zealand-based Ladyhawke (aka Pip Brown) will release her US debut EP Paris Is Burning on Modular Records on October 14th. The title track “Paris Is Burning” has been a DJ and critic’s favorite in Europe & Australasia for the past few months (featured on UK Radio One’s playlist). The EP also includes a remix of “Paris Is Burning” by label-mates Cut Copy, a French language version of the song (“Paris s’enflamme”), the very first song that Pip wrote for Ladyhawke (“Back Of The Van”), plus a remix by Van She Tech. A new song Pip has written also gets its world premiere on the EP, called “Danny & Jenny.” Following a headlining UK tour at the start of October and prior to her touring Europe with Black Kids, Ladyhawke and her band will play four US shows the week of October 13th:
Tues, October 14 - New York City - Santo’s Party House
Wed, October 15 - Chicago - AV-Erie
Thurs, October 16 - Los Angeles - The Echo
Fri, October 17 - San Francisco - Popscene @ 330 Ritch
