CHICKENS IN LOVE is an online pledge-a-thon fundraiser, full-length album, AND a mini music festival thrown by my favorite non-profit organization 826LA which is dedicated to encouraging kids to get creative with their writing skills, and to help teachers inspire their students to write.

Chickens in Love, the  full-length album will have the original songs with lyrics written by 826LA students and will be covered by LA-based bands.  The student written songs will be covered bands such as She & Him, Fiona Apple, Cold War Kids, Tim and Eric, The Submarines, Summer Darling, The Happy Hollows, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Dum Dum Girls, The Growlers, Crystal Antlers and The Pity Party.

You can also make a monetary pledge to 826LA via your favorite original student song from now through April 30th, 2010 to help out a good cause and there will also be a one-day MINI MUSIC FESTIVAL, scheduled for March 6th, 2010 1 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Echoplex featuring The Submarines, Summer Darling, The Happy Hollows, The Growlers and more special guests.
