The famous New York artist passed away yesterday from a drug overdose at the young age of 27. He began his career as a part of the Irak graffiti crew tagging “Sace” all over the walls of New York. He then ended up working on photographic exhibits with artists like Ryan Mcginley and Colen which portrayed very “controversial” topics. Being very famous in the New York art scene he became known for his 20 portraits of Saddam Hussein covered in glitter along with his collages, installations and polaroids.
Dash Snow also was very affliated with the Los Angeles art scene, where he put up galleries, parties and shows all throughout the Downtown district.
Here is a tribute of Snow’s art.
