You would think recreating disco music could never be done, but Ida No and Johnny Jewel, the fantastic duo behind Glass Candy, rejuvenate all the good that was lost in disco mixed with the modern day electro beats. Glass Candy’s album B/E/A/T/B/O/X, who is signed with Italians Do It Better, combines similar sounds from the late 70s to 80s blondie-esque vibes to even creating a cover of Kraftwerk’s “Computer Love”. The songs make you want to dance with the sexy fun tunes and even Karl Lagerfeld used their song to play in his recent Chanel fashion show. The album itself only features 8 tracks, but its quality not quantity in this case and should be played from beginning to end WITHOUT any skipping. This album is simply electric.
