You know summer is near when the Standard hotel(s) start to throw their pool parties. Memorial Day is usually the ultimate kick-off to these pool parties. When Americans were remembering our troops on the wonderful Monday holiday, the Standard threw their ‘Mad Memorial Monday’ hosted by Mad Mondays, Love-Made & Urbane Society. Always with cool energy and even cooler crowd, the standard pool parties are always a time to kick back, drink that Colt 45 that they were giving, and listen to Matt & Matt (DFA), Sissy Wong (Booby Trap), DJ Spider, Valida, Hoff, Blu Jemz DJ the day away. Just thinking about being there makes me feel good, thankfully, it happens all summer long.
