Memorial Day weekend can never feel complete to me without a pool party. On Saturday, The Roosevelt Tropicana Bar, was celebrating the long but short three day weekend with plenty of drinks and beats around the pool. Belvedere IX Vodka sponsored the event with shot drinks like the “Get your IX Rocks Off” which actually had pop rocks in them! (which is my kind of drink!) It was pure bliss as I soaked up the sun drinking bloody marys as the great DJs Radam, Jordy Masterson, and Myles Hendrik spin the summer hits. They were playing music anywhere from Beck to MGMT to even some Marley on a classic 80 degree spring day in California. I saw familiar faces in their bathing suits and ate 3 dollar fish tacos, which is the perfect cherry topping to a perfect weekend.
