This past Friday we were in Vegas to attend the grand opening of DJ AM’s residency at Rain located in the Palms (and a Wedding, yeah that parts true). We were escorted around the property by Nine Group VP Mike Fuller aka long time Las Vegas DJ, The Funkler, and hopped every single club at the Palms prior to AM taking the decks at Rain (including Playboy, Ghostbar & Moon). For those of you who haven’t been to Rain, or haven’t been in a while, the club has had a recent renaissance with the Oakenfold Perfecto Residency on Saturdays and now AM every Friday, both of which have amazing production and over the top crowds.
AM went on around midnight and was introduced with a really dope video showing him walking up to the club, through the hallways and then onto the decks to overwhelming applause. AM of course took to rocking the house, although played it safe with the hits… I was hoping for a more electronic-ish set but that’s just me, he killed it for the crowd.
It seems that there really is only one place in Vegas taking it’s nightlife seriously and that’s the Palms! Worth the trip, especially in the Summer…
