Coming soon the new operating system known as 3.0 will add over 100 new features to the iPhone. There are boring ones like extended parental controls and note synching but also a few that are making me a little creamy jeans.
more after the jump
Cut and Paste – I had a sidekick 3 that could cut and paste and now finally an iPhone that will be able to as well. A simple function that saves time and possibly energy, the people prayed for C&P and God, I mean Jobs, delivered. This will also work for selecting multiple photos, also a Jobsend to anyone who likes to email pictures. PS did I just coin Jobsend?
Spotlight and Search- I know my laptop has spotlight but I don’t think I’ve ever used it. I assume it’s just a search tool but another new feature is search for mail, calender, and iPod. So it seems like all of your iPhone searching needs will be fulfilled by 3.0 OS.
3G Tethering- Now this is some shit right here, with 3.0 comes the ability to use the 3g powers of the iPhone to connect your laptop to the internet. Unfortunately carriers still have to okay this, but it’s nice to know the possibility is there.
Landscape Keyboard- Same ol’ landscape keyboard just in a lot more applications like mail, text, and notes. If you’re like me and write late night, booze fueled diatribes in notes than well, this is kind of exciting.
Multimedia Messaging- Know someone without an iPhone, Blackberry, or something else that has mail on it? Yeah me neither, but if you do, they can now be sent MMS which basically just means a picture text message.
Okay so maybe these aren’t the most exciting features of all time, but they’ll make my already obscenely easy iPhone life even easier. Now I just need a feature to pay my bills.
