Vestax has partnered with Serato to create a seamless interface for Serato Itch DJ software. Featuring a one-to-one mapping structure that links all of its buttons and controls directly to the corresponding controls within the software, the VCI-300 is mapped and ready for battle straight out of the box. Its solid construction and integrated 4-in/4-out soundcard makes the Vestax a no-brainer for digital DJ setups. All you really need to rock the house, in addition to the VCI-300, is your laptop and headphones.

The intuitive yet simple interface makes the unit easy to use as a MIDI controller for other software although its designers built it to “play nice” with Serato Itch. The VCI-300 features two acrylic “turntable style” platters that allow you to adjust their resistance and includes sensitive pulse/touch sensors. The Serato Itch software is compatible with Serato Live by recognizing each other’s cue points, loops and playlists (crates) for easy file integration between both formats.

Your iTunes library is also supported through playlist and file recognition that includes AIFF, MP3, ACC and WAV. Five faders on the unit give you control over pitch, deck volume and crossfader while other features include a navigation pad, three loop-point buttons, auto tempo sync, trim dials and hi, mid, and lo EQ dials. If MIDI mapping seems too much to deal with, then the Vestax VCI-300 has a plug-and-play format that’s sure to keep your DJ sets stress free.
