“Inner Hurt”
Genre: techno.
Sounds like: hip-hop/soul.
Bottom line: Hailing as a master of the minimal techno world, Jay is always pushing forward with new musical ventures. The album showcases soulful, futuristic hip-hop pop, with one disc focused on vocal work, and the other aimed at instrumentals. Dreamy yet forward-thinking, this deeper offering is perfect for the ride home from the club.

oooh, i’m reminded of the atmosphere of deep chord when it opens up, but with healthy bass kick and an element of phrasing through electronic bells and noise rhythms. As it takes off, very-electronic FM synths rise and fall on the padded foundation. Basically alot of contrast between highs and lows in this deep techno-i thought it would develop more, but techno is techno i guess, this isn’t dull, but it’s definitely not that exciting
How the hell is this hip-hop/soul?…nah, these distant high pitches sound like a gated slidewhistle with electronic noise that transforms into a portamento bellset..definitely techno…here
