If you’ve never played the Hot Shots Golf series, don’t be fooled into thinking that this is some mild game of mini golf. Once you get through the fairways over tropical islands, snow-capped mountains and bridges or against the climate, putting the ball in those greens can be deceiving. The controls are straightforward enough that after some time, you’ll be able to master those putts with your caddy cheering you along the way.
This game offers unlockable equipment by the loads. Accessorizing your golfer with the right clothing and accessories will be rewarded with an attribute boost. The online mode is where it’s really at though—online tournaments can handle up to 16 other hot shots all looking to compete for the title. If you want to keep it local, you can also engage in Match Play and one-on-one through ad-hoc. Like the decade’s worth of Hot Shots Golf games released before it, this one does not disappoint. Grab a copy because, after all, this is everybody’s golf game.
