When I was a kid, someone told me Adidas was an anagram for “all day I dream about sex.” I’ve since learned that Adidas was named for its founder Adolf “Adi” Dassler (whose brother, and eventual competitor, Rudolf, famously later created Puma). While I can’t tell you where that anagram rumor began, I can tell you that all day I’ve been dreaming about Adidas Grün, the company’s new line of eco-sneakers that hit stores in June of this year.

Big thumbs up goes to Adidas for getting into the eco trade. Let’s hope more big corporations take a walk in their shoes.
