Travis Barker and DJ A-Trak came together last week for a sick show at The Roxy in Los Angeles. The show was out of this world as the two tore it up for the crowd for some fresh jams that everyone in the audience was going crazy for. The show even ended with Lil Jon coming up and performing “Get Out of Your Mind” with the drummer and talented DJ. Check out the clip below of the some of the performance.

I seriously can’t get enough when it comes to sunglasses, especially if they’re coming from Italian brand, Super. Jeremy Scott appears ONCE again with adidas Originals AND the Disney franchise to blow us all away with a brand new sneaker. We’ve seen the designer, Jeremy Scott use pop culture in his designs, after all that is what he is famous for and it seems Scott will be using one of his most beloved pop culture icons, Mickey Mouse. The Mickey Hi Top kicks was for Scott’s Fall/ Holiday 2009 runway and will finally be released at select retailers on April 1st.
I’m sure just the title “Electro Wars” caught your attention and it is no doubt that the electro genre has dominated the music world and created a HUGE audience. The Electro Wars is an upcoming documentary that captures the music and artists that make up this genre which created it’s own subculture. Apparently, the documentary was inspired after reading the post titled “Electro Wars” which was featured on Hipster Runoff. The producer has come up with some compelling thoughts for the future of Electro music- check out the trailer below!

You are really seeing the neighborhood of Echo Park evolve as restaurants, shops, art galleries are opening right along Sunset Blvd. To add to this, E.P.I.C Independent Co-Op opened their doors this past weekend and threw a sioree this past Friday that honored the area and local designers of Los Angeles. Rhianon Jones and Tristan Scott are the brains behind E.P.I.C Independent Co-Op who feature up and coming LA designers such as Les Sang Des Betes, 925LA, Himiku, LAS Jewelry, Gabby Applegate, Dear Creatures, Gregory Alexander, Howl, and Brian Lictenberg, just to name a few. The brand new shop really opens doors to these innovative designers and shows proof that LA can keep up in fashion.
Neon Indian really blew us away with their last single, ‘Deadbeat Summer’ with a retro mellow sound that was perfect for a lazy day. Now, Alan Palomo, the man behind Neon Indian has released another track titled “Sleep Paralysist!” which feels like the Palomo evolved into a clean psychedelic sound.
Chris Taylor from Grizzly Bear actually produced this track on Green Label Sound and you can really hear his influence in the song. Listen to the track below- I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
